Whether you’re a newbie or an old hand, we’ll use our August meeting to share thoughts about how particular Web 2.0 technologies have been used (and could be in the future). We’ll have an open, facilitated discussion about various elements of the Web 2.0 landscape. Those who are unfamiliar can ask questions; those who are experienced can share insights and tips; and we can all envision how these tools might be applied to our present circumstances and dreams. We’ll touch upon some combination of:

  • Blogs
  • Twitter
  • Wikis
  • Photo sharing services
  • Video sharing services
  • Podcasting
  • RSS feeds
  • tagging
  • mashups
  • SMS, mobile apps and making your site mobile-friendly
  • and whatever other tools people want to bring up

Which technologies we spend time on will be determined by the group. We’d like to start off our discussion of each tool with a quick (less than 5 minute) overview or demonstration presented by different Net Tuesday members. We’d like people to volunteer in advance, though that’s not necessary. If you’d like to get our discussion started about one or more of these technologies, please let us know by sending an email to

We’ll be able to go online for demonstrations, though time limits will preclude getting into great depth on any of these tools. So, we’ll take plenty of notes to be made available afterward.

In addition to this, we’ll also discuss plans for Net Tuesdays this Fall and Winter.

Hope to see you there.
